Product review from yesterday's shopping (Himalaya Herbals & Skin Food)

It's time to check out the products and try 'em....
Just a reminder, two days ago I bought:
- Skin Food Aloe Sun BB Cream SPF 20 PA+, shade no. 2
- Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face Wash, and
- Himalaya Herbals Gentle Exfoliating Apricot Scrub

Skin Food Aloe Sun BB Cream SPF 20 PA+, shade no. 2
This is my first time to buy and try BB Cream.

Just applied on the skin

Rubbed and let it blend. Not bad....

So I'd use this BB cream with my mineral make up, or whenever I'm in a hurry.
I'd still apply my eye cream and moisturizer before putting on BB Cream.

Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face Wash
The facial wash is 100% herbal actives. Contains Neem adn Turmeric. It's soap free! Yay, you can see from the picture I took below.
According to Wikipedia, in India, the Neem tree is variously known as "Divine Tree," "Heal All," "Nature's Drugstore," "Village Pharmacy" and "Panacea for all diseases." Products made from neem have proven medicinal properties, being anthelmintic, antifungal, antidiabetic, antibacterial, antiviral, anti-fertility, and sedative. It is considered a major component in Ayurvedic medicine and is particularly prescribed for skin disease.
In Ayurvedic practices, turmeric is thought to have many medicinal properties and many in South Asia use it as a readily available antiseptic for cuts, burns and bruises. It is also used as an antibacterial agent.
That explains why both of the ingredients are good for oily skin.

After washing my face with this, my skin didn't feel tight and dry at all.

The green gel

Rubbed with water, you can't see bubbles there cos it's soap free!

Himalaya Herbals Gentle Exfoliating Apricot Scrub
This contains Apricot kernel granules, wheatgerm oil, and Apple.
I use this twice a week. Look at the granules.
Suitable for all skin types.

After Eid Fitri Shopping (hauls)

Ahhh, Eid Fitri festivity has just been over three days ago, spent two days at home to clean up the house, and then I had a chance to go out yesterday to renew the car license.
So I decided to call up my college friend who live near by and checked if I can go to her house. Fortunately, she was planning to have lunch at Taman Anggrek Mall with her family, so I said that I'd meet her there.
Well, as I can predict, since she brought her two girls and a niece, she had lunch at KFC. Not much to expect at KFC, so I just ordered Twister. I planned to have another round for lunch after that :)

We did some catching ups and then we split up.

Some blogs mentioned about BB cream and I was wondering what it was.
Check out a post about BB cream here.
Yesterday, I was in search of BB Cream at that mall, hehehe..... Went to Etude shop first, phewww, the price was expensive, man! IDR 298,000.... Ummm, not in my budget, cos I read in an online shop at multiply.com, the price is in range of IDR 160,000-200,000.

Soooo, I went downstairs, heading to Skin Food store. Oh goody, they have BB cream!
I picked Aloe Sun BB Cream SPF 20 PA+, shade no. 2, price: IDR 186,000.
What it said about the product:
Rich with aloe, which possesses excellent hydrating properties and soothing effect, this multi-functional skin care product (UV protector & blemish corrector) provides moisture and nutrition to your skin while providing protection from UV rays.

The SPG said I will not need face powder. Wearing this is enough when you want a basic make up.

I looked around the shop, but didn't buy anymore cos I need to save money, ehmm... check out next adventure:

Next to Skin Food store is Himalaya Herbals store. This brand comes from India, famous for their herbal treatment, ayurvedic way. I thought they only sell herb pills and capsules, but that day I saw their facial care. Hmmm..... Shall I try? I need facial wash and exfoliator to be kept at my sister's place.
After after listening to SPG's products "information" a.k.a promotion of each product, I chose Purifying Neem Face Wash (IDR 59,000) and Gentle Exfoliating Apricot Scrub (IDR 69,000). Another type of scrub is Almond Scrub, but I wanted to try this Apricot Scrub.

I went home with a big smile. I wonder why shopping can give you such a satisfaction feeling? Scarry.....
